ENTREMUROS: AESTHETICS WITH A NOD TO THE PAST
Located in Valle de Bravo, on a 9,000 square meter site, and making use of various passive eco-technologies that date back to ancient cultures, Casa Ocoxal refers to a productive microsystem to which it is respectfully integrated.
A-001 Taller de arquitectura designed it evoking the traditional dwellings of the region. In its design it proposes a reinterpretation of the gable-roofed hut, but with a contemporary aesthetic achieved thanks to the black sheeting on the façade, concrete and glass.
"This project is born of systemic thinking, of how a house is integrated into an existing system and not only does it not damage it, but also contributes to it, beyond thinking of a sustainable or green house, but adapts systematically to the context in which it was created," explained architect Eduardo Gorozpe.
