COLUMPIO INCLUSIVO

In collaboration with Unilever, we developed a prototype swing for one of its brands: Helados Holanda, this project represented a challenge for us, so we started an investigation based on a series of surveys carried out with children with disabilities, to find out what their desires and their limitations when approaching playgrounds.

One of our objectives was to provide complete autonomy to the user and provide experiences that every child looks forward to and enjoys, to all this, we added the aspect of branding and how we could translate a phrase that characterizes Helados Holanda; “Las cosas de familia se hacen en bola" (which is a pun in Spanish that means hat families do things together) trying to convey the commitment that the brand has to the issue of autonomy and inclusion, achieving an object that considers any user and that generates a belonging.

Inclusive Swing seeks to reintegrate children with disabilities into one of the most important activities of childhood: swinging, action that not only represents happiness but also provide huge therapeutic and motor contributions in child development.

Following the idea that the future of design focuses on including and understanding all types of users regardless of their condition, we promote the functional and global design with this project.
