A cruise terminal not only serves as an access point to a cultural environment, but also becomes a powerful tool for showcasing the riches of a country as a whole. This project fosters a vibrant exchange that highlights the highlights of a nation, such as its cuisine, music and architecture.

The focus of this project is on the tourism industry as a driver of development, offering an immersive experience that invites visitors to delve into the local cultural context and promoting a comprehensive vision to present it in an unforgettable way. By transforming an industrial port into a modern tourist terminal, economic growth is stimulated by activating tourism and increasing the region's commercial profile.

The inspiration comes from a significant cultural legacy, especially medieval architecture, with its distinctive elements such as arches, vaults and portals distributed in rectangular floor plans. The idea is to reinterpret these details in a contemporary way, fusing the architectural heritage with a fresh and unique vision.

One of the biggest challenges of this project is to develop a program that meets diverse needs simultaneously, creating a space that functions as a multicultural meeting point with an exceptionally broad operability. To this end, special emphasis has been placed on the functionality of the space, where the architecture becomes an organized system that naturally guides users to the different areas of interest.

As for the choice of materials, simplicity and the integration of local and contemporary elements, such as partition walls and pigmented concrete, are prioritized. This combination not only ensures resistance to the maritime environment, but also offers an aesthetic that fuses the traditional with a modern visual language.

Architectural design must address a variety of factors and achieve their harmonious integration, even when these variables may seem contradictory. This project demonstrates how, by properly managing these complexities, it is possible to create unique and memorable experiences.
