“Fashion speaks louder than words”
Design process provides spaces with significance masks from the material, color and ornamantation, it supplants the escence for a new one as part of the creation of an architectural show.
ReMake Up is concieved as part of creating the new identity for the Profesional Image Institute (IDIP) in Mexico City; this, through a process of architectural makeup removing which exhibits the natural and rawness of the elements, just like model without any makeup.
The use of exposed brick, recicled OSB wood, metalic supports and other apparent materials, simulate an industial look and feel that reminds us of the backstage of an entretainment show. The functional elements like: lamps, clothes an exhibit fixtures, are given a new aesthetic to complement the existing one.
Representative images on walls and neon light mesages, frame the different spaces and stars the user making him/her the central piece of the sistem, the main artist.
IDIP's new institutional image is the reinterpretation of fashion's language to architecture, where everything starts with a makeup base and ends up with a path through the catwalk.
